Another Wednesday of threatening storms in the lake area greeted the thirty-nine teams taking out of PB#2. For the second week in row the size and quanity of big bass brought to the scales has slacked off compared to the last month or so. The bite continues to be good, but the bass have begun to move out to the deeper structure. Jigs, plastic baits and crank baits are the most productive bite fished in depths of 10 to 25 feet.
There were eight bass over 4 pounds weighed, six weighed 5 pounds or better, including two bass weighing 5.70 pounds tying for big bass of the tournament.
1st Bill Cassidy & Derek Brown 5 Bass 18.15 lbs.
2nd Jeff Beauchamp & "Pug" Bledsoe 5 Bass 16.10 lbs.
3rd Terry Blankenship & Ron Clement 5 Bass 15.60 lbs.
4th J.D. Mitchell & Marty Stawizynski 5 Bass 15.50 lbs.
5th Troy Wiethrop & Sean Williams 5 Bass 14.90 lbs.
There were two bass weighing 5.70 pounds, however, Terry Blankenship and Ron Clement took the honors for big bass of the tournament because they had a heavier stringer than John Kaiser and John Hayes who had 14.55 pounds.
